Berkshire Hathaway Renewables opens up business opportunities in Ravenswood, WV

BHE Renewables made an exciting purchase in Ravenswood, West Virginia. The Berkshire Hathaway Energy business purchased 2,000 acres at a former aluminum site, Century Aluminum. The company partnered with Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC), another Berkshire Hathaway Inc. business, to develop a titanium melt facility powered by 100% renewable energy. The facility will use solar energy to melt titanium into products for highly specialized industries, including aerospace technology. With an investment of $500 million, this will be a revolutionary renewable energy microgrid-powered industrial site that will pave the way for future economic endeavors in West Virginia.

This is an exciting investment for Berkshire Hathaway Inc. as well the local economy. BHE Renewables and Precision Castparts Corp signed an agreement with the WV Economic Development Authority to recruit and grow new businesses for the site, as well as a local industrial business development district. This investment in Jackson County will create jobs, which will positively change the lives of residents for generations to come.

As a franchisee of BHH Affiliates, LLC serving the West Virginia market, we are excited about the future opportunities to come in Ravenswood. This investment is a testament to the hardworking citizens of West Virginia, including our talented team of agents in the area.
