  1. Edgewater Park In the Cleveland area there are so many amazing lake front parks that are a great way to get a tan. One of the bests is Edgewater Park. It gives visitors an awesome view of the city and that wonderful lake-side breeze. Featuring the famous Cleveland sign, there are many family photo-ops at this beach.

  2. Cedar Point Beach Heading up to Sandusky? Even if going to the amusement park is out of reach, there are still many ways explore the sites. Cedar Point has plenty of beach-front parks that show off Lake Erie. You can also get a great view of the park to see what it has to offer in case you return to the area. This beach is a family-friendly environment or would make for the perfect summer afternoon date!

  3. Mentor Headlands Beach State Park Want a view of ones of the most beautiful lighthouses on Lake Erie? Head to Mentor and visit the Headlands Beach State Park. With plenty of space, your whole family can spread out on the beach and enjoy the sunshine. Work on that tan while your children play in the sand. Then walk over to the lighthouse for a wonderful family photo!

  4. Hueston Woods Hueston Woods State Park is a great way to have a beach day in Southern Ohio. Not too far from Cincinnati or Dayton, this park is an easy driving distance. Whether you want to lay out in the sun or take a long nature walk. This state park has something for everyone in the family.

  5. Alum Creek State Park In Central Ohio, there are fewer beach parks but that doesn’t mean they are any less captivating. Alum Creek State Park is located in Delaware, and is full of fun summer activities. Kayaking, jet skiing, bike trails, and more. This environment is perfect for swimming and sun-bathing. The park also has a large campground that way you can fully maximize your weekend road trip and never have to leave the park.
